Thanksgiving Travels

We loaded up the car Thursday morning to go down to Bryan for our family's Thanksgiving Day meals and get-together but didn't realize what we were really embarking on.

This is a trip I've made most of my life. I know how to get to Bryan/College Station. However, on this day, I forgot. We took off for this short hour and a half trip, and three hours later ended up at our destination. :)

I had a few memory lapses that were aided by some poorly marked roads and we ended up in Austin (not really a part of our trip). The good news is that our girls got a nap in during the last half of the drive and it made the drive back home go by pretty quickly.

At least we made it...and at least we got to watch the Cowboys win! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Wasting Time for a Good Cause

For those of you who enjoy playing games, there is a great word-game online that will donate rice through the UN for every word you get right.

Play it here.

Have fun, increase your vocabulary, and help hungry people...sounds like a great combo to me!

Props to my little bro, Logan, for making me aware of this.

Welcome to the Neighborhood

My in-laws have left and we're back to getting unpacked on our own. Dani's parents did SO much. It's incredible how fast and hard they work. I'm pretty sure we would still be staring at boxes up to our ceilings for the next few months had they not come. Now we actually have a few rooms completely organized and set-up as well as a garage that has everything put away and space for our car!

Before I left for Arkansas, we were outside in our driveway and, within a matter of 10 minutes, there were 8 little kids all playing together in the cul-de-sac. It's fun having so many kids around for our girls to play with (it's also a bit tiring). :)

There have been two new families that have just moved in since we did and they have what seems to be 10 kids, all older elementary-aged. They play a little louder and little rougher than the 8 little kids who were out a few weeks ago. :) It appears that our street will not lack in life and entertainment!

We have enjoyed going to a church called "The Vista Community". It's a new church and very relaxed. Fun stuff...

We've Moved

And I'm tired! I hope we don't have to move again for a LONG time. I'm definitely glad to be in our new place though.
